The Society of Robotics and Automation is a society for VJTI students under the Department of Mechanical Engineering. As the name suggests, we deal with Robotics, Machine Vision, Automation and all their allied fields. The society conducts workshops like Wall-E (Self Balancing and Line Following Robot) and MARIO (Robotic Manipulator controlled using ROS) to teach the basics of robotics to first year students.
We also have the annual summer mentorship program, ‘Eklavya’ where students make their own projects under our guidance. SRA also participates in national and international competitions like NVIDIA Jetson Developer Challenge, NIyantra, Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge, ABU Robocon as well as, WRO ARC, which is a renowned International Robotics competition.
